HACCP Coordinator – full time permanent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintenance, verification and validation of documented Food Safety and Quality Assurance Programs
- Conduct training, on site verifications at the prescribed frequency, paperwork verification and general support of the Food Safety department.
- Participate in internal and external audits of the programs.
- Expected to have first hand knowledge of all operations under their authority
- To coordinate microbiological and chemical testing for customers and CFIA
- Unusual work hours may be necessary to complete tasks
- To work on other project work as assigned
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
- Full Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP principles and programs
- Practical experience with HACCP, SOP’s and GMPs
- 1 – 2 years experience working in a meat processing or packing house environment
- 1 – 2 years experience working in food safety and quality assurance
EDUCATION:
- An undergraduate degree preferably with focus in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology
Food Science Preferred.
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A self-starter and able to work in a team environment
- Time management: Efficient organization and prioritization of jobs and able to meet deadlines
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good Problem Solving Skills
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be able to work well with a diverse cross-section of personalities and agendas

We have an immediate opening for a full time, 6 month contract Human Resource
The candidate will be responsible for recruitment, training and administration activities.
The successful candidate will:
- Provides administrative and clerical supports to the organization relating to recruitment, arranging interview, job posting, health and safety and company staff events.
- Prints resumes from job websites and performs phone screening for hourly employees
- Perform interviews with potential candidates.
- Performs orientation for new hourly employees on Company’s policies and Health and safety.
- Maintains the accuracy and integrity of employee information.
- Coordinate terminations, salary adjustments and changes to personal information.

Lab Technician – contract position POSITION FILLED 23rd March 2009
Delft Blue is a Canadian Corporation located in Cambridge, Ontario dedicated to the development and servicing of the North American Case Ready Market.
We have an immediate opening for a full time lab technician; 9 month contract.
The candidate will be responsible for microbiological and chemical evaluation of raw materials and finished products. The person needs to be familiar with standard lab concepts, practices and procedures, preferably with meat products, as well as computer skills (Excel and Access). A variety of tasks will need to be performed such as:
- Microbiological sampling and analysis of product (E-Coli 0157:H7, Coliforms, TPC)
- Routine Environmental swabbing
- Chemical Analysis of product (moisture, fat , protein, salt)
- General Laboratory duties (preparation & standardizing solutions etc)
- Reporting of results
- Visual Shelf Lift Evaluation
- Other duties as required
A college degree in laboratory related field and/or equivalent work experience is essential.
Experience with HACCP an asset.
